Inspired by John Cage's work with the I Ching, gifs, and bubble charts, Dot uses my library and the feelings it inspires as data to drive a soundscape and simple animation. In this way I attempt to recreate the experience of glancing along the shelf, remembering.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sarah Groff-Palermo has been an observer of the secret lives of objects since 1985. Currently a masters student in the Integrated Digital Media program at NYU Poly, she has worked variously as a writer, editor, designer and programmer. When not working on hardware or data visualizations, Sarah likes to dabble in programming language design. Sarah was born in San Diego, lives in Brooklyn, and is a friend to robots everywhere.
