In the Hall of the Sad King

Dawn Of Man will be presenting a series of priceless portraiture works, completed by an unknown artist during the late 16th century and depicting five members of the High Court of the Sad King.

The forgotten, sad collection was thought to have been lost forever, but recently uncovered through a series of unexpected circumstances, and presented at MediaLounge through the use of high-end digital projection technology.

The exhibit will mark the first time that these images have been seen by the viewing public in over 600 years.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

DAWN OF MAN is a New York City based digital arts collective, directing and producing works of new media, 3D projection mapping, cinema, video art, and audio. Started in 2008, Dawn Of Man has found a home in creating unique experiences that employ new ideas and technology, while remaining firmly rooted in the ancient human love for storytelling.

Dawn Of Man catches a quick snooze in the city that never sleeps. Part of an ongoing series of site-specific video installation work, utilizing the latest in projection napping technology. These massive nappers were projected throughout NYC over the course of several weeks, occurring unannounced, and each lasting only for a few hours. An unsuspecting audience usually emerges at each location, often sparked with intrigue, sometimes enlightenment, and always a whole lot of questions. Projection Napping is ongoing, and will most likely be continuing to doze off from time to time, throughout NYC and beyond. music by: cloud instrumentals cloudinstrumentals.com www.dawnofman.com
